Asbury Park, New Jersey | Summer Fridays Series, Week 6
For the last week of Summer Fridays, we thought we’d show you around our home state…
Asbury Park is considered home to some of us and a beloved summer getaway to others. Safe to say: we’re all big fans. The city is known for its vibrant music and art scenes, which are set against sprawling beaches.
This week, we’re showing you around Asbury Park, with highlights picked from those who know it best.
To Stay
St. Laurent Social Club
Start your trip at a favorite of ours, the St. Laurent. The 21+ hotel-meets-social-club has an outdoor saltwater pool, instructor-led fitness classes, classic cocktail lounge and on-site restaurant—inviting plenty of ways to stay busy.
But don't forget to make time for some of the social events, which has included vendor pop ups, movies under the stars and dinners hosted by celebrity chefs in the past.
Our Book Scent Space Kit was recently featured at the club's Caftans & Cocktails event.
To See
The Boardwalk
After check in, head to city’s popular beach and boardwalk. You’ll find casual restaurants and beach bars, but we prefer the uniquely-themed eateries and retro arcade.
Also a favorite is the Wonder Bar’s “yappy hour,” an outdoor, dog-centric happy hour with pools, sandboxes and toys ready for its four-legged clientele.
To Do
Concert at the Stone Pony
Situated just one block from the boardwalk is the city’s iconic Stone Pony. There’s an indoor venue, but we’re especially keen on the seasonal Summer Stage. The outdoor location hosts concerts into early fall, so you can enjoy live music while watching the sun set behind the stage.
To Spray
Book- Personal
The blend of Black Tea, Sandalwood and Cedarwood perfectly matches the unique, artsy atmosphere of Asbury Park. As a skin scent, it won’t feel too heavy whether you’re relaxing on the beach or lounging poolside at the St. Laurent.
