OK, I’m going to be honest here, I am not educated in the world of perfumes. I know nothing about popular brands I could compare this to. I can’t talk knowledgeably about top notes or any other perfume related jargon. I’ll just say that this smells wonderful, and reminds me of how it feels after a rainstorm on a summer day once the sun comes out!

I’m 52 and this is the first full size bottle of perfume I’ve ever purchased and I LOVE it!

I am AuDHD, which has a lot of sensory sensitivities associated with it, very much including hyperosmia, an over acuity for odours which I believe has a genetic component. Since childhood I’ve had to literally hold my breath and walk in fearful haste past the perfume counter when negotiating department stores. I’ll go a much longer route to avoid walking past the overwhelmingly scented LUSH shop in my local mall. I become physically sick, develop headaches and feel faint in the presence of certain aromas, especially flowers such as hyacinths and lilies. All this is to say an interest in purchasing perfumes was the last thing on my radar, until I received a sample of COMMODITY’s Juice in a Latest In Beauty box set, and in a moment of uncharacteristic recklessness, with great trepidation, I gave it a tentative sniff.

That was my first experience of a perfume that didn’t make me ill; quite the opposite in fact, and I was surprised to find myself seriously considering purchasing a full size bottle of one of the three Juice variants. I…
