Summer Fridays: Jackson, WY
Summer means it’s time to get away. All season, we’re sharing some of our favorite US summer travel spots. Find a destination to cure your wanderlust? Take the Summer Friday.

Take in those final, long summer weekends with an overdose of nature. Normally thought of as a winter destination, Jackson also offers the best of summer. The town is surrounded with outdoor activities that’ll immerse you in nature like hiking, horseback riding, rafting and paddleboarding—just to name a few.

To Do
Hike to Delta Lake

Discover the sparkling turquoise Delta Lake. Set against a snow-capped Glacier Glutch backdrop, the aquamarine gem can be reached by hiking the Lupine Meadows Access. The challenging 8.1 mile out-and-back trail features a 2,300 feet of elevation gain, and is located in the southwest corner of Grand Teton National Park, just 30 minutes outside of Jackson.

To Explore
Jenny Lake

Cool off after a hike, take a scenic boat ride, or learn to paddleboard at Jenny Lake. Also located in Grand Teton National Park, the giant lake sprawls 1,191 acres, so that there’s something for everyone to do and it never feels crowded.

To Do
Horseback Ride

After a long hike by foot, it’s time to go by horseback. Visit Spring Creek Ranch to take in views of the Teton Range, the town of Jackson and the surrounding area from atop your well-trained steed. No experience necessary!

To Spray
Vetiver

Vetiver’s vintage Jasmine is reminiscent of the Old West vibes of Jackson, while golden-green and earthy aromas like Haitian Vetiver and Patchouli will keep grounded you in nature.
