Our next stop takes us to Donald Judd Home & Studios in Marfa, Texas.
Donald Judd was an American artist and one of the leading figures of the Minimalist movement. Beginning in the 1970s, he transformed homes, studios, and historic buildings throughout Marfa into enduring spaces where art, architecture, and design are experienced together.
La Mansana de Chinati
Also known as “The Block,” the complex occupies an entire city block and represents one of Judd’s earliest and most ambitious architectural projects in Marfa.
The guided tour takes visitors through Judd's private residence, his library of 13,000+ volumes, courtyards and gardens, and permanently installed works. Rather than viewing individual works in isolation, visitors experience the spaces as Judd intended them: as integrated environments where art, architecture, and design are inseparable.
The Studios
A second guided tour will take you to a collection of downtown spaces that showcase different facets of Judd's life and practice.
Visitors move between the Art Studio, Architecture Office, Cobb House, Ranch Office, and Whyte Building, discovering a different facet of Judd’s work at each stop. Along the way, you’ll encounter his paintings, architectural drawings, custom furniture, and permanent installations, alongside works by designers and artists he admired.
Together, the Home & Studios offer a rare opportunity to experience Judd's vision exactly as he intended—where the boundaries between living, working, and creating quietly disappear.

Paper Expressive is a crisp, woody skin scent built around Iso E Super, Sandalwood and Cedarwood. Clean, balanced, and intentionally understated—much like Judd’s spaces themselves.
