    Great way to get to know a brand

    I believe discovery sets are the best way to get to know a fragrance house and, for this instance, their story. In general, most of the fragrances were nice and you get a little bit of different fragrances profiles to check on. My favorites were Rain, Bergamot, Magnolia, Nectar and surprisingly Wool. I have a better idea on what to get for the next archive drop.

    As for the packaging it was really nice and I can see myself reusing it. The only thing I would have loved is to have paper strips as their regular complete collection discovery set has.

    Mixed bag

    I liked some of the scents (Mimosa, Nectar) and loved Rain the most because it’s really fresh and clean and more of Spring/Summer scent. The Wood, Bois, Leather Whisky. are more masculine leaning - though strong and good it’s more for men. The Orris scent free sample though has me in a chokehold!

    Archive, but why??

    These kits are SO much fun. Grab your person & after you try each scent on yourselves in their original form, make your own combos and see who is most likely to be offered a stellar career in the perfume industry. The Mister came up with his own "recipe". He combined W*****y with Leather and was most pleased. Was he channeling his inner Kevin Costner? We may never know. What I do know is that if we could trade "archive" for "always" well, that would be Christmas everyday would it not? Thanks Commodity! And Kolsch would like to add "They didn't name it Gold for nothing!" Thanks Commodity!
