Summer Fridays: Seattle, WA
Summer means it’s time to get away. All season, we’re sharing some of our favorite US summer travel spots. Find a destination to cure your wanderlust? Take the Summer Friday.
A harmony of blue and green, Seattle is known for its vast ocean views and lush forest trails. As the largest city in the Pacific Northwest, there’s more to Seattle than initally meets the eye…

On the itinerary: stepping into the city to experience a kaleidoscope of colors, then only seeing red.

To See
Chihuly Garden and Glass

Located next to the Space Needle sits this unique single-artist exhibition. The artist, Dale Chihuly, innovated glass as an artistic medium, and the exhibit highlights a lifetime of his boundary-pushing work.

There’s an eight-gallery exhibit hall, garden installation and glasshouse, all featuring three-dimensional medleys of color, shape and size.

To Explore
Seattle Central Library Red Floor

Most people don’t visit local libraries on vacation. However, most people haven’t ventured into the fourth floor of Seattle Central Library. The floor, ceiling and walls are painted different shades of shiny, bright red for a stimulating (yet slightly bewildering) experience. The hallway forms a loop for those wishing to take on the full experience.

To Spray
Paper Expressive

A fresh, earthy skin scent to make your blank canvas.
